here r a few ideas:

have a Christmas decorating party. invite your friends and/or family to help you decorate your tree. i've been to a tree decorating party, it's lots of fun!

or - you can set aside a special day for ur family to all be at home together to help decorate the tree and your house.

plan a night where you drive to see Christmas lights with your family. we have the most, most beautiful Holiday Lights display in Bellevue/Bellevue Square Mall. it is called the SNOWFLAKE LANE. it's a street of lights & music, supper fun for the kids/adults. so many people gather every night to see the show! it's on the conner of Bellevue Way & NE 8th Street. the show goes on every night, i believe from Thanksgiving till New Years.

also, you can all go icekating @ the downtown Bellevue Park, it's only a couple of bucks, but MUCHO FUN! they set up the icekating ring in the first week of November.

Hey Shelbs,
here is a blog called Creative Holiday Gift Ideas you might be able to find some things on there. I thought some of her ideas were cute. Good luck!

these are some craft ideas from wondertime.com. it's a great magazine.

and this is a good concept, even if you create a different template.

Also, a great neighbor gift and general holiday treat: peppermint bark. here's a recipe:

you can also make it on top of melted milk chocolate. If using, pour milk chocolate onto cookie sheet first, then add white chocolate/peppermint mixture.
